Teaching Staff

Stamatis has extensive teaching experience, as he has been professionally involved in English teaching over the past 20 years. Following his undergraduate studies in English Teaching (TESOL) methodology at Bournemouth and Kent (Hilderstone College), he obtained the RSA/UCLES Teaching Dipoma (First Class Honours) from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. In Greece, he has worked as Educational Director of Examination Preparation Courses at various private language schools. In 1997, he founded PAPADEMETRIOU Language School in Paleo Faliro.

The principal consideration permeating his entire teaching philosophy is interactive, holistic learning, on the principle of learning by doing. He creates and assesses teaching resources, organizes continuous professional development seminars for all teachers of the School and teaches exam preparation and adult courses. Stamatis is the Examination Secretary of Professional Education Services, City & Guilds speaking examiner, founding member of the H.E.C., which is an official examination centre of the University of Cambridge and is also a member of TESOL Greece. Carla was born and raised in Boston. She has been working at our School since 2004 and is our Educational Director. She creates and assesses teaching resources for our pupils of all levels and age groups. She holds a BA Degree from New England University in New Hampshire in the USA and the TESOL/SIT Diploma in English Teaching. She completed her Postgraduate studies in Teaching English at Saint Michael’s College (MA/TESOL).
Carla is a speaking examiner for all levels of Cambridge/ESOL examinations, a member of TESOL Greece and also runs our School’s LC Book Club. Vicky is our School’s Nursery Level group coordinator and designated Contact Person for all pupils and parents. She holds a Degree from the Faculty of Early Childhood Education of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and has been working at our School since 2006. Possessing notable communicative and organizational skills, along with the integrity and positive energy that characterize her, Vicky ensures the smooth running of our School and brightens up everyone’s day.

Natasha is the coordinator of the Pre-Intermediate Level groups of our School. She has been teaching English for over 15 years and has extensive experience of all levels. Her substantial experience allows her to integrate diverse teaching methodologies and strategies into her teaching, in a consistent and effective manner. She holds the RSA/DELTA Teaching Degree and has been working at our School since 2003. Her studies, her passion for improving teaching quality and her love of the language and of teaching have made Natasha a key member of our teaching staff.

Elena was born in Manchester, England, where she spent the first years of her childhood, but also considerable amounts of time thereafter, during regular visits to her family there. In Greece, she attended a British school. She has studied English Literature and French at the University of Sussex in the UK, receiving a First Class Honours Degree (BA). She also holds the TEFL English Teaching Methodology Diploma from the Hellenic-American Union, as well as a Degree in Translation (DipTrans) from the Chartered Institute of Linguists, London.

Maria was born in the USA and has spent a large part of her life travelling between Ocean Township N.J. and Athens. She studied English Literature (BA) in England and completed her postgraduate studies (MA) at Exeter University. Maria excelled in her studies, receiving a Special School Commendation from Exeter University for her performance on the Masters course. She has been working as an English teacher since 1998. She has been teaching at our School since 2010. She has also worked as editor of educational books, drafting and proof-reading English language teaching books.

Kostas undertook the implementation and coordination of the Adults’ LC Book Club  (LC Book Club +)run by our School. He is a graduate in Political Science and International Relations from Panteion University and has worked for many years in the publishing sector. Η Ξένια είναι κάτοχος ΒΑ απο το Αμερικανικό κολλέγιο και είναι απο τα εμπειρότερα στελέχη του σχολείου μας. Τα τελευταία 9 χρόνια έχει αναλάβει με μεγάλη επιτυχία τη διδασκαλία των μικρών μας μαθητών (PR1, PR2 & Elementary Level groups). Είναι ιδιαίτερα αγαπητή στους μαθητές της και τη διακρίνουν η μεθοδικότητα και η υπομονή.

Η Ματίνα είναι η coordinator των τμημάτων της Γαλλικής Γλώσσας. Είναι πτυχιούχος Γαλλικής Γλώσσας και φιλολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών και έχει άριστη διδακτική κατάρτιση. Έχει παρακολουθήσει πρόγραμμα διδακτικής απο το PROFILE (εγκεκριμένο κέντρο του Cambridge ESOL) και έχει λάβει μέρος σε πολλά workshops για τις ψυχοπαιδαγωγικές προσεγγίσεις στη τάξη.

Η ματίνα είναι εξετάστρια και διορθώτρια για όλες τις εξετάσεις του Γαλλικού Ινστιτούτου και εντάχθηκε στο δυναμικό του σχολείου μας το 2009

Η Παναγιώτα διδάσκει επίπεδα Young Learners και pre intermediate.Είναι απόφοιτη του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών (BA English Language and Literature). Βρίσκεται στον χώρο της ξενόγλωσσης εκπαίδευσης τα τελευταία 9 χρόνια, έχοντας διδάξει Αγγλικά σε όλα τα επίπεδα σε Κέντρα Ξένων Γλωσσών, Παιδικούς Σταθμούς και Δημόσια ΙΕΚ. Έχει διατελέσει επί σειρά ετών Ταμίας στο Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο της Επιστημονικής Ένωσης Καθηγητών Αγγλικής (TESOL Greece) και έχει διοργανώσει ημερίδες, σεμινάρια και διεθνή συνέδρια. Έχει παρακολουθήσει πληθώρα επιμορφωτικών προγραμμάτων ιδιωτικών φορέων αλλά και του Υπουργείου Παιδείας. Συμμετέχει ενεργά σε εθελοντικές δράσεις στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό και είναι υποψήφια για το Μεταπτυχιακό Δίπλωμα DELTA του Πανεπιστημίου Cambridge.

Η Αριάνα διδάσκει επίπεδα Young Learners και Elementary Level και εντάχθηκε στο δυναμικό του σχολείου μας τον Ιούνιο του 2010.  Eίναι απόφοιτη του Αμερικανικού κολλεγίου (BA English Literature) και τελειόφοιτη του Παντείου Παν/μιου (Τμήμα Κοινωνικής Ανθρωπολογίας). Έχει παρακολουθήσει κύκλο μαθήματα Κοινωνικής Ανθρωπολογίας στο UCL (University College London) και το ΕLT πρόγραμμα μεθοδολογίας για young learners στο PROFILΕ. Είναι μέλος του TESOL Greece και έχει συμμετάσχει σε σεμινάρια λογοτεχνίας στο πρόγραμμα του School of Continuing and Professional Studies καθώς και ανθρωπολογίας στο Πάντειο Παν/μιο.
